This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and disclose your information, including personal information, in conjunction with your access to and use of the Akad mobile application and our website (collectively, the "Services").

A. Information You Provide to Us

  • Account Registration: Name, phone number, email address, and password.

  • Driver Data: Driver’s license, vehicle information, insurance documents, and ID photos (for verification).

  • User Content: Ratings, feedback, and customer support communications.

B. Information We Collect Automatically

  • Location Data (Crucial): For Riders: We collect precise location data to arrange pick-ups and track rides. For Drivers: We collect precise location data when the app is running in the foreground (app open) or background (app minimized) to match you with nearby riders, track trips, and calculate fares. Background location access is required for the driver app to function properly.

  • Device Information: Device model, IP address, operating system, and unique device identifiers (Device ID).

  • Usage Data: App launch times, crash logs, and interaction with features.

 

  1. How We Use Your Information We use your data to:

  • Provide transportation services and connect Riders with Drivers.

  • Track the progress of rides in real-time.

  • Process payments and fares.

  • Verify the identity of drivers for safety purposes.

  • Send service updates, security alerts, and support messages.

  • Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud.

  1. App Permissions To provide our services, the Akad app may request the following permissions:

  • Location (Fine/Coarse): To track rides and navigation.

  • Camera/Storage: To upload profile photos or vehicle documents.

  • Notifications: To send ride updates and alerts.

  1. Data Sharing and Disclosure We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Other Users: Sharing Rider’s location/name with the Driver, and Driver’s details with the Rider to facilitate the trip.

  • Service Providers: Google Maps (for mapping), Cloud Hosting Services, and Payment Processors.

  • Legal Authorities: If required by law, court order, or government request to protect safety or investigate fraud.

  1. Data Security We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.

  2. Data Retention and Deletion

  • We retain your data as long as your account is active.

  • Account Deletion: You have the right to delete your account at any time via the "Settings" menu in the app or by contacting us. Upon request, we will delete your personal information, subject to retention required by law.
